Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

These sessions are intended for teachers that are leaders in using iPads at their site, and are looking for applications that leverage teacher-guided lessons with independent student creation tools.  Teachers should be comfortable with the content in intermediate and entry level sessions before attending this session as knowledge of the concepts presented in those sessions will be assumed for all attendees.  Please review the agenda on the sessions to see where your comfort level is at this time.  Keep in mind there are make-up and level advancement sessions also scheduled

Teachers should bring their mobile device (PC computer or Mac) to this session as we’ll be using both iPad and computer potentially.
  • Teachers should begin looking at curriculum (learning experiences) differently in a tech-rich environment.  In this session, we’ll look at the possibility of combining the Volume Purchase Process with iTunes U, iBooks, apps they use all the time to create a focused learning experience for their students that still allows students to showcase their creativity
  • Mac Users can use iBooks Author (with Bookry widgets) to create their own iBooks to share with their students, add to iTunes U courses, or combine student creations into a class book of learning.  Alternatively, PC users can use Book Creator (built into iPads) to accomplish similar tasks.  We’ll explore both this amazing tools.
  • iMovie trailers are great, but we’ll explore the more detailed iMovie functions, and look at easy to use editing tools like Videorama, especially, when you combine other tools to create graphics for title cards, and other transitions. We’ll also look at how to responsibly share to a class YouTube account.  We’ll also learn how to quickly find media releases from IC to make sure we’re complaint with sharing media.
  • We’ll learn about the more complicated, yet more powerful tools in the Office 365 Suite including OneNote, OneNote Class Notebook, and Teams.
  • We'll look at the Canvas For Student app and see how teachers can create courses in their Canvas courses that students can access via the app, their personal device, or at home.
  • We’ll look at how to use Virtual Reality with Google Expeditions in your class, as well as the developing trend of Augmented Reality using Merge Cubes and other tools to explore engaging content, including looking at TynkerCad, Co-Spaces, and other modeling tools with XR (Extended Reality)
  • We’ll look at how to create Digital Escape Rooms that require collaboration, communication and critical thinking to “solve” using their iPads, teamwork, and current knowledge of the content you’re learning about in in your classroom.
