Here's a summary of some of the sessions being offered!

  • EduProtocols for English Learners
    • Make learning easier for your English learners using EduProtocols. In this session, you learn how a middle school EL teacher uses 8*Parts, Bookakucha, the Frayer Model, and a few protocols of her own to prepare students for the ELPAC. Learn implementation tips from a real classroom teacher.

  • Exploring Adobe Spark - Creating Design Challenges
    • Adobe Spark helps you create stunning visual stories and animated videos in minutes. No filming (If you don’t want to but can if you want to :-) just talk to tell your story! Pick from over 25,000 beautiful iconic images to show your ideas and Voice automatically adds cinematic motion and a soundtrack. Persuade, inform and inspire anyone online. Make an impact. Join us for design challenges and learn how to tell your story to different audiences!

  • Design your lesson- design thinking in the classroom
    • In this session you will explore what Design Thinking looks like through a hands on exploration as well as brainstorm different ways to use it in the classroom.

  • Thin Slides and CyberSandwich
    • Get kids reading, thinking and talking about academics in these high energy, highly academic double team will change your teaching effectiveness! Thin Slides get kids doing more of the work and the teachers doing more feedback and less grading. Thin Slides are super flexible and easy to learn to teach. Cyber Sandwich replaces the good old Think-Pair-Share lesson plan with something that's more accountable, features reading comprehension, writing skills, and lots of collaboration built right in.

  • Iron Chef and Fast and Curious-
    • Jon will be sharing The Fast and Curious Eduprotocol which dramatically increases student success and lowers teacher workload - no more worksheets needed. After teachers learn that mystical process, they'll be learning the famous Iron Chef Eduprotocol that is loaded with 4Cs options, work in any grade level or subject area and get kids really engaged. If you know what a jigsaw lesson is, an Iron Chef is just an easier way to execute this classic reciprocal teaching strategy.

  • Smart Start-
    • Elevate those beginning of the year nightmares with Smart Start. Kick off your school year on the right foot by building relationships, culture, skills and fun. Easy to use protocols that you will build on throughout your whole year.

  • Turn it Up to 11:
    • EduProtocols on iPadsWhen finely tuned, iPads go from being cute little phonics and math fact machines to the educational equivalent of the Fender American Elite Stratocaster. By harnessing the pedagogical consistency of protocols and combining it with the all-in-one multimedia studio capabilities of the iPad, we can give students rock star level abilities. Just because the focus of this session will solidly be on classroom application, doesn't mean we can't have tons of fun learning to shoot video like a pro, create animation in Keynote, and learn how to literally "explain everything

  • Canvas-Basics and Beyond
    • Come and learn from Canvas trainers about how Canvas can be put to work immediately for you in your classroom with grade book integration, alignment with outside tools like Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Pearson, EdPuzzle and Kyte Learning.

  • My Viewboard-
    • ViewSonic interactive screens use MyViewBoard to create interactive, collaborative, and engaging content with students in (and out) of the classroom.  Come and learn from our ViewSonic trainers about some of the more advanced features of this technology.

Please note that sessions repeat three times, so you're really picking which sessions you don't want to go to.

Bring your tech if you would like, but iPads with the required apps will be provided.
